Bring me a problem, and leave the session with it solved
Advisory sessions are built around one problem at a time. You tell me what's stuck, we spend the session solving it together, and you leave with a set deliverable rather than a list of ideas.
You pay for a solved problem, not for my time
Tell me the problem
Describe what's stuck in a few lines. I'll confirm which session fits and exactly what you'll leave with before anything is booked.
Solve it together
The session is spent working on your problem, not watching slides. If you've been to a Silicon Sessions roundtable, it's the same idea, but one to one and focused entirely on your business.
Leave with the deliverable
A finished piece of work agreed in advance, whether that's a decision, a plan or rewritten messaging your team can use straight away.
Problems clients bring to a session
Here are some of the most common. If yours isn't listed, tell me about it on a free call and we'll shape a session around it. You'll find sector-specific examples on the cybersecurity and tech for good pages.
"We're trying to sell to everyone at once."
We weigh up your possible audiences and choose the one to win first.
- You leave with
- Your beachhead market and the reasoning behind it
"Investors like the tech but don't get the business."
We rebuild your story around the market, the traction and the growth plan.
- You leave with
- A restructured investor narrative, slide by slide
"We do a lot of good, but it doesn't pay."
We work out how to measure your impact and who will pay to have it delivered.
- You leave with
- A plan to sell your social value as a service
"Our website lists features and nobody cares."
We translate what the product does into what the customer gets.
- You leave with
- A rewritten headline, value proposition and key messages
"People book demos, but they don't buy."
We trace your funnel from first click to signed contract to find where deals drop.
- You leave with
- A diagnosis and the three fixes to make first
"We're launching soon and don't know where to start."
We cut the to-do list down to what will actually drive early sales.
- You leave with
- A prioritised launch plan for your first 90 days

How payment works
Simple, upfront and agreed before any work starts, so there are no surprises on either side.
- Focus and Decode sessions
- Paid in full when you book. Your session is confirmed once payment is received.
- Go-to-market sprints
- 50% when you book to secure your start date, with the remaining 50% due on delivery of the final strategy.
- Advisory retainers
- Invoiced on the first working day of each month, payable within 7 days. Rolling monthly, with 30 days' notice to cancel.
- Unused retainer hours
- Hours you don't use roll over into the following month only, so nothing is lost if a month gets busy.
- Rescheduling
- Free with at least 48 hours' notice. Sessions moved with less notice may be charged in full.
- Moving to fractional
- If you move on to a fractional engagement within 30 days, your one-off session fee is credited against your first month.
Good to know
What if my problem isn't on the list?
Most marketing and sales problems can be shaped into a session. Tell me about yours on a free call, and we'll agree the session and the deliverable before you book.
Do I need to prepare anything?
You'll get a short questionnaire before your session, so we can start solving straight away. Bring any numbers you have, such as website traffic, demo bookings or conversion rates.
What if we don't solve it in one session?
The deliverable is agreed upfront and scoped to fit the session, so you'll always leave with it. If the session uncovers a bigger problem, I'll tell you honestly what it would take to fix.
Should I book a session or a retainer?
Most clients start with a single session. If it's useful and you can see more problems coming up, a retainer is the natural next step and works out cheaper per hour.
Do you do the work, or just advise?
Advisory sessions give you the decision, plan or messaging, and your team runs with it from there. If you'd like ongoing hands-on help, a fractional engagement is usually a better fit.
