How DuckTalk uses your information

Who we are
This website is run by Lewis Sayes, trading as DuckTalk Marketing ("DuckTalk", "we" or "us"). DuckTalk is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. If you have any questions about this policy or your information, email lewis@sayesmedia.co.uk.
What we collect and why
Website analytics, only if you accept
If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use this website, such as which pages are visited, how visitors arrived, roughly where they are (country and city), what device and browser they use, and which buttons they click, such as "Book a call". This helps us improve the site. We rely on your consent for this, and you can withdraw it at any time using the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.
We have turned off Google's advertising features, including Google signals and ad personalisation, so this data is used only to measure how our website performs. Google processes the data on our behalf and may transfer it outside the UK, using the safeguards described in its own privacy policy.
When you email us
If you email us, we receive your name, email address and anything you include in your message. We use this to reply and, if we go on to work together, to deliver our services. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, or on the contract between us once we're working together.
When you book a call
Calls are booked through Calendly. When you book, Calendly collects the details you enter and shares them with us so we can hold the call. Calendly's own privacy policy explains how it handles your information.
When you visit linked websites
This website links to other sites, including LinkedIn, Luma and Calendly. Once you leave our site, that site's own privacy policy applies.
Technical information
Our hosting provider processes technical information, such as your IP address, to deliver the website to you and keep it secure.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We only set analytics cookies if you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. If you click "Reject", or don't choose, no analytics cookies are set.

Who we share information with
We never sell your information. We only share it with the services that help us run this website and our business, such as Google (analytics), Calendly (call bookings), our email provider and our website host, and only as far as they need it to provide their service.
How long we keep it
Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months. Enquiries are kept for up to two years after our last contact, unless we go on to work together. Client records are kept for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting purposes.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it, delete it, limit how we use it or transfer it to someone else. You can also object to how we use it, and withdraw your consent where we rely on it. To make a request, email lewis@sayesmedia.co.uk, and we'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
